Description : This exceptional Regency style fireplace model was made for the "Salon d'Hercule " in the Versailles palace . The center of the frieze is ornated by a Hercules' head wearing the skin of the Nemean lion, carved in very high relief. On both sides are represented two cornucopias with realistic flowers and fruits. The legs are decorated by expressive roaring lion heads.
